If you haven’t known this earlier, Lovebirds are a small genus of parrots that have 8 different kinds of species belonging to the native wilderness of Africa. One specific characteristic widely known of this bird is their monogamous nature in choosing a partner. Meaning that they are a little picky about choosing a partner as they only spend their whole life with one partner. True love and loyalty that we all want.
Maura Hennelly a 19-year-old girl from Fair Oaks, California owns a Lovebird as a pet. Hers is a Fischer’s lovebird. It is a cute little male Lovebird which she calls him Kiwi. So, after Maura has let Kiwi spend his bachelor time for a year now, it was time to search for his mate, kinda soulmate. The process of it all was documented on Twitter and it’s the sweetest thing ever, enjoy!
This is the handsome and very single bachelor Kiwi.
So Maura bought home a peach-faced female lovebird and introduced it to Kiwi.
Everything was alright in the beginning, they seemed to hit it off and get along well with each other.
Kiwi was getting lonely so I got him a baby gf & he loves her so much :’) pic.twitter.com/TPKFc2PMD3

But then things started to fall off, they just weren’t compatible for each other, and so peach-faced had to say goodbye.
